Challenge
The customer was using a legacy on-premise solution to manage users' lifecycle. The existing solution was not scalable and was not integrated with many critical systems like EPIC and the Learning management systems (SumTotal). They were looking to automate and modernize their identity governance processes. They needed a SaaS based solution that had light administrative requirements and could manage multiple user populations and integrate with critical clinical applications.
Solution
IDMWORKS implemented SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC) and Non-Employee Risk Management (NERM) in a phased release to provide a quick time to value and reduce deployment risk. In the first release, all of the user populations from multiple authoritative sources were centralized into NERM, which was aggregated into ISC to support lifecycle workflows. Subsequent releases integrated with EPIC, SumTotal, and other clinical applications and ServiceNow Service Catalog for access requests. This implementation included provisioning provider records to Epic via the bi-directional EPIC SER connector; one of the first implementations of this SailPoint connector globally.
Results
The customer was able to decommission the legacy identity solution with the initial release. All of the identities are stored within SailPoint ISC and workflows have been configured for automation. Their access requests are now centralized in the service management system and are fully integrated with SailPoint ISC. Froedtert now has a consistent and accurate governance process that is connected to more applications, enabling more efficient business processes and reducing the threat landscape.
