Challenge
The customer had implemented SailPoint IdentityIQ with a patchwork of internal and contract resources. Over time, the customer found issues with their lifecycle events and errors where users were not getting provisioned or deprovisioned properly. Staff turnover increased the challenge with tribal knowledge about the system exiting the company.
Solution
IDMWORKS worked with the customer to tactically address existing issues challenging their users. While that was occurring, IDMWORKS helped trace, document, redesign, and redeploy several of the lifecycle event workflows to accommodate the complicated business logic. This work included accommodating multiple use cases and data for events like leave of absence, user conversation, and dealing with privileged admin accounts.
Results
IDMWORKS was able to help remediate the issues and streamline the user lifecycle management. This reduced the IAM team ticket volume and increased user satisfaction. IDMWORKS also helped rebuild and standardize code deployment and repository used so that each deployment was consistent and guaranteed to only promote approved changes. IDMWORKS also fully documented the work being done and the lifecycle workflow processes so that future business needs would be well understood and easier to implement.
