Challenge
The customer was looking to modernize their IGA technology and processes. The customer had been using the One Identity Active Roles Server for some Active Directory creation, but many of the processes were still manual. The customer was looking to not host any of the new IGA platform in their environment and was looking for a partner to manage the day-to-day operations of the system.
Solution
IDMWORKS worked with the customer for a multi-phase project to implement SailPoint IdentityIQ. IDMWORKS documented the current state processes and outlined the future state vision and the outcomes for the program. IDMWORKS then built the SailPoint architecture in its private cloud data center and integrated it with the client’s systems. IDMWORKS implemented integrations with business-critical applications, including SAP. This enabled the automation of all of the user lifecycle management events, including Joiner, Mover, Leaver, Rehire, Inactivity, Legal Hold, Expiration, Extensions, Leave of Absence, etc. After the workflows were automated, IDMWORKS moved on to building out the various quarterly manager, application owner, and role owner certification campaigns required by compliance and auditors.
Results
The IDMWORKS-hosted SailPoint IdentityIQ solution has given the customer the extensibility of an on-premise IGA platform without the on-premise footprint. This, coupled with IDMWORKS Managed Service offering, allowed for a flexible and adaptable IGA service. The customer has been able to automate complicated workflows and comply with audit requirements without the overhead of a large IAM team. The customer has experienced large changes internally, shifting HR systems and global IT vendors with no disruption to the IGA platform and IAM program.
