Challenge

The customer had grown exponentially over several years.  As a result, the customer had concerns about data hygiene and current processes and wanted to get those addressed before embarking on an enterprise Identity Governance and Administration project.  The customer wanted a holistic view of their IAM program, cleanup that was required, and mapping of capabilities to the PCI requirements and compliance.

Solution

IDMWORKS performed a full assessment, looking at the current state of the IAM program and technologies.  IDMWORKS evaluated the areas of Identity Governance & Administration, Access Management, and Privileged Access Management to provide a current state maturity and then provided a series of recommendations along with a strategic roadmap outlining various projects to implement the recommendations.  These projects stretched over a three-year period and included resource recommendations and dependencies, all of which were tied to business value and PCI compliance.

Results

The customer has a clear vision and path forward to enhance and modernize their IAM program.  IDMWORKS has outlined a number of cleanup and data standardization steps that are being performed to provide a solid foundation as the customer evaluates, selects, and implements an enterprise Identity Governance & Administration product.
