Challenge
The customer relied on manual processes to bulk onboard employees and medical staff and the overall solution was immature and labor intensive. They were looking to improve efficiency and security while reducing the cost and burden on internal infrastructure staff.
Solution
IDMWORKS implemented Sailpoint IdentityIQ for user lifecycle management, access reviews, access requests, and password management. The IdentityIQ instance was hosted and managed through IDMWORKS’ private cloud Managed Services, eliminating the need for infrastructure and support in the customer’s data center. IdentityIQ was integrated with core infrastructure like Active Directory as well as core business applications like EPIC. The implementation leveraged the SailPoint Rapid Setup feature to minimize custom coding and speed up phase 1 integration.
Results
The client was able to reduce support resources to .5 FTE who works hand-in-hand with IDMWORKS’ Managed Services team. The initial implementation was reduced to four months, providing 90% of the desired applications in phase one. In addition, the client has realized the following metrics and wins:
- Immediate and consistent deprovisioning process for terminated users
- Reduced user birthright provisioning time from weeks to hours
- Automated certifications reducing campaign time from months to weeks
