Challenge
The customer operates in a global environment with multiple companies and acquisitions. This led to diverse and changing sources for onboarding identities into their IAM platform. They face challenges with non-managed identity data, unstable on-premise IAM Components, and manual provisioning of access and mailboxes in Azure AD.
Solution
IDMWORKS expanded the SailPoint ISC footprint, integrating with new applications, including new authoritative sources and Active Directory domains. This further enabled the expansion of the automated lifecycle management and Active Directory birthright. It also allowed the integration of the client’s Canadian HR system and management of lifecycle workflows. IDMWORKS identified unstable components from the original ISC deployment and partnered with the client to architect and deploy a cloud native architecture allowing for stable use and high availability.
Based on the success with SailPoint ISC, IDMWORKS was asked to engage with the CyberArk team to help expand the PAM footprint and vault more shared and privileged accounts for Linux, Unix, and Oracle systems.
Results
Through the engagement, the customer was able to significantly expand the users managed by ISC as well as the use cases in scope. The effort streamlined and filtered out unneeded identities, saving on license cost. Rehosting the previously unstable components provided cost savings as well as enhanced reliability for the components.
Expanding the customer’s PAM capabilities helped increase security and protect the environment from unwanted access and threat.
