IT RELOCATION ASSESSMENT & ROADMAP
DCMWORKS provides a highly detailed IT relocation assessment a blueprint of the costs, time, and risk associated with your IT relocation customized to your organization’s specific needs. This roadmap will help you avoid the pitfalls associated with IT relocations that are often overlooked when a company’s internal team plans a relocation. Let our experience keep your relocation on time and on budget.
IT RELOCATION DESIGN SERVICES
DCMWORKS’ design services provide the technology infrastructure required to support employees and business functions within the building footprint. Our design team leads the initial discovery phases to understand the function of the facility and employees it will house. Design and coordination disciplines include data and voice cabling, telecommunications, network and storage systems, Distributed Antenna System (DAS), wireless, security, AV, and MDF/IDF layouts. DCMWORKS also offers RFP management, contract administration, and design/build.
IT RELOCATION CONSTRUCTION COORDINATION
DCMWORKS serves as IT’s representation for the construction project through all phases of an IT relocation. Our IT Project Manager serves as the single point of contact for IT vendor coordination both pre and post-construction. We manage all project-related tasks and coordination until the systems have all been commissioned and/or relocated, and our client has successfully moved into their new space.
IT RELOCATION MANAGEMENT
DCMWORKS develops the IT relocation budget with the documentation of risks, costs, and decisions for ratification by business units and management. DCMWORKS develops a migration plan where all tasks are designed, executed, and tracked when the move date arrives. Once the project is complete DCMWORKS assists with the IT decommissioning effort at the site being vacated.
A DCMWORKS server assessment leads to major cost savings, increased efficiency and the identification of unprotected systems. While servers can run for years without attention, the back end technology provided by the servers needs regular maintenance on the installed software and occasional maintenance on the hardware itself.
